USPAP 
The Appraisers Association of America offers USPAP (Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice) for personal property appraisers taught by AQB certified USPAP instructors (who AAA certified members). We offer both the 15-Hour Course & Exam as well as the 7-Hour Update Course in New York City, online and around the country. Please note: all Appraisers Association members are required to stay up to date on USPAP.

SEMINARS
The Appraisers Association of America offers year-round seminars, workshops and connoisseurship study days on a wide range of topics of importance to the field of personal property appraising. These programs are intended to enhance an existing component of an appraiser's toolkit, or to bring something new to it. Programs are open to Appraisers Association members and the general public and may be of particular interest to collectors, auction specialists, dealers, insurance professionals, attorneys, conservators, and others.

LECTURES
The Appraisers Association of America is committed to ongoing education for appraisers and each season organizes a six-part slide lecture series in New York City, given by specialists in the fine and decorative arts and focusing on specific areas in depth. Within the context of the talk the expert provides historical background, an overview of the field, establishes current values and trends, addresses problems of copies and forgeries and often considers a variety of issues including conservation, as well as insuring the appraised property. During each lecture members of the audience receive bibliographies and current reference material prepared by the speaker. Following the lecture there is a reception providing networking and social opportunities for members of the audience of appraisers, dealers, collectors, and curators.

ASK THE EXPERTS
The Steering Committee of the Associates of the Appraisers Association of America hosts an annual "Ask the Experts: Professional Development Seminars," designed to provide participants with an opportunity to discuss timely and relevant topics in comprehensive morning and afternoon sessions held in the AAA office. Seasoned professionals with considerable experience have been invited to lead the sessions; attendees have ample opportunity to participate in the discussion and to ask questions.  Come ask the experts!
